Hello everyone,
I hope you're all having a great start to the week. I wanted to recap a few key points from last week's meeting and share what we'll be focusing on this week.
LeetCode Practice
We discussed two valuable approaches for incorporating LeetCode into our meetings:
- Solving a problem together during the meeting
- Having members present and explain their solutions
Both options would be beneficial. For this week, we will try out the first option.
Weekly Paper Discussions
Every week (or biweekly) I'll be sharing interesting papers for us to explore as a club. If we find a paper particularly compelling, we can also attempt to implement it and see how far we get.
This Week: World Models Paper
This week, we'll be diving into the World Models paper: https://huggingface.co/papers/2601.20540
Please review the paper before our meeting and prepare any questions you might have. We'll discuss the key concepts and determine whether implementation will require more than one week to complete.
Competitions & Hackathons
I'm excited to see the growing energy and participation. Here's what's happening:
- ICPC team: Meeting weekly outside of our Thursday 5-6 meetings
- Hackathon team: Competing in the Nvidia Cosmos Cookoff competition
If you're interested in participating in any hackathons or competitions through CHAI, please let me know and I'll help organize it.
Leadership Updates
The following members will join the leadership team: Paddy Yang, Zihan Zhao, Matthew Jeong, and Marco Chen.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this Thursday in room 101.
